How many types of asphalt plant are there?

From the perspective of mobility, asphalt plant is categorized as stationary and mobile type.
According to production capacity, asphalt mixing plant consists of small asphalt plant, medium hot mix plant and large bitumen mix plant.
Based on the treated aggregates, the hot mix production machine is divided into new aggregate hot mix processing plant and recycled asphalt plant.
However, the most commonly-used facility is the batch hot mix plant and the drum tar mixing plant currently.

Asphalt Batching Plant
Asphalt batch mix plant is the most commonly used hot mixture production equipment all over the world. It manufactures the asphalt mix in batches every 45 seconds.

Brief Working Flow
Cold aggregates from the stockpiles are fed into the aggregate hopper, then are sent to the dryer drum to remove the moisture. After being sieved, weighed and mixed with mineral fine particles and bitumen, the finished asphalt mixture is produced batch by batch.

Drum Asphalt Mixing Plant
Drum plant is also named continuous mixing plants.
Based on the drum numbers, LUTON drum mix plants are divided into 2 types, single drum asphalt plant and double drum hot mix plant.
Based on the heating methods, LUTON drum asphalt plants include parallel flow drum plant and counter flow asphalt mixing plant.
Each type of drum plant works in a continuous method, making sure that you can get large volume of finished products without interruption in a short time.
LUTON drum plant capacity is 20 t/h to 80 t/h.
Brief Working Flow
Cold aggregates in different sizes and types from the aggregate containers are sent to the continuous rotary drum.
In the first section of the drum, the aggregates are heated whilst in the second section of the rotary drum, the aggregates are mixed with mineral powder and the liquid bitumen.
The continuous drum rotating produces the finished products uninterruptedly.

Mobile Hot Mix Plant
Both drum types and batch types of asphalt plant can be designed and developed to a mobile asphalt mixing plant.
For the drum type asphalt plant, due to the relatively small capacity, the production capacity of mobile drum type is the same as the stationary type.
For the batch bituminous plant, the maximum output of stationary ones is twice as the mobile ones.

Recycled Asphalt Mixing Plant
Recycling asphalt mixing plant is to produce new hot mixture for road rehabilitation at a low cost.
